Chicago History Museum: Annual Fourth of July Celebration. Celebrate our nation’s independence with time-honored family festivities! Join the fun at the museum’s 54th annual Fourth of July celebration. Highlights include patriotic musical performances, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, and a children’s costume parade led by the World’s Tallest Uncle Sam. 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, Thursday, July 4, Uihlein Plaza, 1601 N. Clark St., Chicago.
Fireworks: Navy Pier. It’s a classic—celebrate the holiday with plenty of pyrotechnics! Navy Pier will be doing a special display on the third AND the fourth to satisfy your sparkler craving. 9:30 pm, Wednesday, July 3 and Thursday, July 4, Navy Pier, 600 East Grand Avenue, Chicago.
